We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of the tzadikah Rebbetzin Mazel Malchah Mollie Goldstein, wife of the late Rebbe, Rabbi Mordechai Goldstein, Z”l, who together founded the Diaspora Yeshiva, the original yeshiva for ba’alei teshuva, as well as Machon Roni, the original seminary for ba’alot teshuva, on Mount Zion, Jerusalem and in the Old City respectively, and also Yishuv Metzad, the Jewish settlement established in the Gush Etzion in 1984 for their students and families. Metzad is the southernmost settlement in the Gush Etzion bloc, and one of its three Charedi settlements.
She was niftera last night.
The hesped took place this afternoon at the Shamgar Funeral Home on Shamgar Street in Jerusalem, with the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yitzchak Goldstein, eulogizing at a distance as he is currently out of the country.
The levaya was on Har HaZeisim (the Mount of Olives), where she was buried next to her husband.
Those who knew the Rebbetzin are encouraged to send the Foundation fond memories of her that can be shared.
May her memory be for a blessing.
